Nestled in the serene hills of Allevard, my recent stay at this charming farmhouse offered a delightful blend of rustic tranquility and modern comforts. The rooms, while basic, provided a cozy haven with a good shower and comfortable bed, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. What truly stood out was the genuine hospitality of the owners, who not only welcomed us warmly but also took the time to share the rich history of the farm, dating back centuries. Witnessing the evening ritual of herding the ducks, accompanied by their loyal sheepdogs, was a captivating experience that added a touch of magic to our stay.The availability of a kitchen, including a fridge, allowed for a touch of personalization in preparing meals, complementing the delicious homemade dinners and hearty breakfasts offered at the farmhouse. The opportunity to explore the surrounding area with the convenience of free WiFi and friendly staff guidance enhanced the overall experience, making it a memorable retreat in the idyllic French countryside.
